We are currently seeking a Facility Operations Assistant to enhance our operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to address service requests for the upkeep of grounds, buildings, and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner.
    • Maintenance tasks may include: repairing wall and floor coverings; fixing furniture and fixtures; conducting basic plumbing tasks; executing minor electrical repairs; servicing appliances; and undertaking painting and refurbishment projects.
  • Support the implementation of the preventative maintenance program.
  • Assist with the maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems, water systems, refrigeration units, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators.
  • Conduct maintenance on carpets and hard surface flooring.
  • Carry out deep cleaning and preparation of resident suites as assigned.
  • Assist with fire safety protocols and disaster preparedness procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school education is preferred.
  • Preferred experience includes at least one year in maintenance or housekeeping roles.
  • Basic technical knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and code compliance is essential.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations, fire prevention, and life safety standards is necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently is crucial.
