Job Overview

Timmons Group is in search of a Senior Civil Engineering Project Leader - Transportation to join our Transportation Design Group.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the successful execution of assigned projects while fostering robust client relationships.
  • Engaging in marketing initiatives and business development, ensuring technical excellence, profitability, adherence to schedules, coordination of project teams, effective client communication, and managing project scopes and fees.
  • Maintaining exceptional relationships with clients and promoting Timmons Group services that may extend beyond personal expertise, while ensuring ongoing communication with management.
  • Managing multiple mid-sized projects, several smaller projects, or a single large project concurrently.

Qualifications for the ideal candidate include:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Preferred professional registration (P.E., L.S., etc.) in relevant states.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in roadway design and transportation engineering, particularly with local Departments of Transportation (DOTs).
  • Strong understanding of project accounting and proven ability to manage schedules and budgets across multiple projects.
  • Experience in marketing and supervising technical work.
  • Proficiency in technical and office support software necessary for the role.
  • Consistently demonstrates a professional demeanor towards clients and colleagues.
  • Effective communication skills for daily task completion.
  • A commitment to fostering professional relationships and assisting colleagues in meeting critical deadlines.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
