Position Overview: We are currently seeking a General Maintenance Worker to support our operations. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our facilities and ensuring a safe and functional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Assist skilled trades personnel in various maintenance tasks.
  • Perform regular inspections of facilities, following established checklists and maintenance protocols.
  • Support trades personnel in tasks related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components.
  • Engage in minor touch-up painting and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Execute maintenance tasks such as changing filters, cleaning systems, and replacing light bulbs.
  • Assist in the upkeep of outdoor areas, including snow removal and pavement repairs.
  • Report any deficiencies or issues encountered during maintenance activities.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Active TOP SECRET Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
  • At least 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Practical knowledge of various skilled trades.
  • Ability to perform light carpentry and demonstrate proficiency with relevant tools.
  • Strong comprehension of written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry weights up to 75 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Capability to push, pull, or move equipment and supplies.
  • Manual dexterity and mobility are essential.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching are required.
