Job Title: Dining Services Manager

Job Summary:

As a Dining Services Manager, you will oversee the operations of a medium to large volume location, interacting with customers and resolving complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner. You will assist with profit and loss and budgeting, work with the Chef and management team to create menus and provide top-quality food, and be responsible for all food service-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee dining services operations, including quality improvement, sanitation, and infection control.
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Assist with profit and loss and budgeting.
  • Work with the Chef and management team to create menus and provide top-quality food.
  • Be responsible for all food service-related activities, including meal services in a seated dining room setting.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of food service management experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
  • Waited table and catering experience is preferred.
  • Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
