Job Summary

As a Dining Services Manager with Compass Group USA, you will oversee the operations of a medium to large volume location, ensuring exceptional customer service and quality food experiences. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee dining services operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Interact with customers, resolve complaints, and provide exceptional service.
  • Assist with profit and loss management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Chef and management team to create menus and ensure top-quality food.
  • Assist with the rollout of new culinary programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare quarterly reports for client presentation and communicate with the marketing and culinary department to increase sales.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of food service management experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
  • Waited table and catering experience is preferred.
  • Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
