Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team for a travel opportunity in Rochester, NY. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring accurate images, and preparing patients for radiologic testing.

Key Responsibilities:

* Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
* Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as needed
* Position patients and adjust imaging equipment to ensure accurate images
* Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure and maintain a safe working environment
* Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physician review

Requirements:

* 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist
* BLS and ARRT (R) National Certification
* State-specific licensing when required
* Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty

Additional Information:

* Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
* Familiarity with the McKesson PACS system is a plus

Travel Requirements:

* Must be able to travel to Rochester, NY for this opportunity
