SIMEDHealth is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Radiologic Technologist to become a vital part of our healthcare team.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is REQUIRED
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is REQUIRED
  • Successful completion of R.T. Certification (Radiologic Technologist) is REQUIRED
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) license is PREFERRED
  • Current Florida Radiologic Technologist license is REQUIRED
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a general radiographer is REQUIRED
  • At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting is PREFERRED
  • Experience with Intergy or similar EMR software systems is PREFERRED
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ability to lift over fifty pounds
  • Comprehend and adhere to Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and Biohazardous Waste Protocols
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Follow all SIMEDHealth policies and protocols
  • Provide assistance to patients, healthcare providers, visitors, and other staff as needed
  • Familiarity with Intergy Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Orchard LIS
  • Uphold ethical working relationships with all personnel while ensuring patient confidentiality
  • Assist with marketing efforts to promote the diagnostic center
  • Perform clerical tasks to enhance departmental productivity
X-Ray Duties:
  • Assist patients from wheelchairs or stretchers onto the x-ray table and help position them for x-ray procedures
  • Prepare x-ray equipment and processors for daily operations
  • Change date stickers on equipment daily
  • Monitor and change film badges monthly to ensure safety
  • Conduct general radiographic examinations as per physician or provider orders
  • Support medical providers in obtaining radiography reports
  • Order and stock necessary supplies for daily operations
  • Implement quality assurance protocols, including:
    • Monthly collimator testing and yearly lead apron & glove testing
    • Monthly cleaning of cassettes with appropriate screen cleaner
    • Calculate monthly statistics and prepare reports
  • Collaborate with the Division Manager to update radiography policies and procedures as needed
  • Ensure that the examination room and equipment are prepared for the next day’s operations
