Job Overview

SIMEDHealth is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Radiologic Technologist specializing in X-Ray to enhance our healthcare services.

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory experience with Mammo/Dexa
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is essential
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is required
  • Successful completion of R.T. Certification (Radiologic Technologist) is necessary
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) license is preferred
  • Current Florida Radiologic Technologist license is a must
  • At least 1 year of experience as a general radiographer is required
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or medical office environment
  • Experience with Intergy or similar EMR software is advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

The following duties are part of your role:

  • Ability to lift over fifty pounds
  • Comprehend and adhere to Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and Biohazardous Waste Protocols
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace
  • Follow all SIMEDHealth policies and procedures
  • Provide assistance to patients, healthcare providers, visitors, and staff as necessary
  • Familiarity with Intergy Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Orchard LIS
  • Uphold ethical relationships with all personnel and safeguard patient confidentiality
  • Participate in marketing initiatives to support the development of the diagnostic center
  • Assist with clerical tasks to enhance departmental productivity

X-Ray Duties:

  • Assist patients from wheelchairs or stretchers onto the x-ray table and aid in positioning for x-rays
  • Prepare x-ray equipment and processors for daily operations
  • Change date stickers on equipment daily
  • Monitor and replace film badges monthly to ensure safety
  • Conduct general radiographic examinations as per physician or provider orders
  • Support medical providers in obtaining radiography reports
  • Order and manage supplies for daily operations
  • Implement quality assurance protocols, including:
    • Monthly collimator testing and yearly lead apron & glove assessments
    • Monthly cleaning of cassettes with appropriate solutions
    • Calculate monthly statistics and generate reports
  • Collaborate with the Division Manager to update radiography policies and procedures as needed
  • Ensure the room and equipment are prepared for the following day's operations
