Shenandoah University's Office of Pharmacy Practice is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice. This is a full-time benefited position located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities- Provide inpatient pharmacy services collaborating with a behavioral health and psychiatry team, focusing on transitions of care as well as acute and chronic disease management in this patient population.
- Serve as a preceptor for IPPE and APPE students and PGY1 residents.
- Conduct didactic teaching within Shenandoah's therapeutic modules and patient assessment skills series.
- Participate in service and scholarship responsibilities as required to accomplish career contract.
- Pharm.D. degree and eligibility for pharmacy licensure in the State of Virginia.
- In-depth understanding of clinical pharmacy practice.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work within innovative pharmacy practice models.
- Pharmacy practice (PGY1) residency with an emphasis in Acute Care Pharmacy or equivalent experience.
- Specialty residency (PGY2) or fellowship training preferred.
