About the Role:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of Dungarvin's facilities, grounds, and vehicles. This includes performing preventive, corrective, and renovative maintenance tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair: Ensure that all facilities, grounds, and vehicles are well-maintained and in good working order at all times.
- Planning and Coordination: Participate in general maintenance planning and capital improvements planning to ensure that facilities and equipment are properly maintained and upgraded.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and repair of Dungarvin's fleet of vehicles to ensure they are safe and operational.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate and secure external vendors for skilled maintenance repairs as needed.
- Tool and Equipment Management: Ensure that all tools, equipment, and keys are properly maintained, organized, and controlled.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance repairs and activities.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Two years of experience in building maintenance, including heating, plumbing, electrical, and general repair.
- Skills: Ability to evaluate cost-effectiveness and preventative measures, good decision-making and communication skills, responsible, mature, flexible, and able to work independently and as a team member.
- Transportation and Tools: Appropriate transportation and basic tools required.
- Availability: Ability to be on call in evenings and weekends.
