Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Division Manager to join our team at the City of Clovis, NM. As a key member of our Fire Department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Fire Chief and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the administrative functions of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive-level administrative support to the Fire Chief, including preparing reports, presentations, and other materials as needed.
  • Oversee the management of administrative staff, including supervising Medical Billing Specialists and Administrative Assistants.
  • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Manage the department's budget, including preparing and submitting budget reports and making recommendations for budget adjustments.
  • Coordinate with other departments and agencies to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Fire Chief.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in fiscal management, payroll, and/or accounting.
  • One year of experience in medical billing and coding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
