Geotechnical Engineer Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough geotechnical forensic investigations, analyzing soil mechanics, and developing solutions to prevent geotechnical failures.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct in-depth geotechnical forensic investigations to determine the causes of failures and soil-related issues.
- Perform detailed site assessments and soil sampling to collect relevant data.
- Analyze soil, rock, and underground conditions to assess stability and potential risks.
- Develop and validate models to predict soil behavior under various conditions.
- Provide recommendations for remediation and prevention of geotechnical failures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other service divisions to develop innovative engineering solutions.
- Assist in the resolution of technical claims/disputes.
- Write/Prepare technical reports and documentation for project findings and deliverables.
- 10-20 years of experience in geotechnical forensics project experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master of Science degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge and experience using software and tools (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, gINT, etc.).
- Experience with field/testing devices and site inspection investigative reporting.
- Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and investigation techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel to client meetings and project site visits.
