Geotechnical Engineer Job Description

PVH - PVHardware is seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to support our US-based utility solar projects. As a key member of our technical team, you will provide cost-efficient designs for tracker foundation systems while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review tracker foundation design packages for US-based projects.
  • Analyze geotechnical reports and provide expert insights.
  • Design piles for solar racking systems, including trackers and fixed tilt systems.
  • Prepare pre- and post-construction pile load testing plans.
  • Remediate pile refusal as needed.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party professional engineering firms to complete project requirements.
  • Provide technical and engineering customer support, both internal and external.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of geotechnical and/or foundation design experience preferred.
  • English fluency required; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with LPILE software and soil corrosion analysis.
  • Experience with FHWA, DIN 50929, AS2159, Eurocode, ASIC, ASCE, and IBC standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel.
