Job Opportunity at Utility Trailer Sales Company of Arizona

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Utility Trailer Sales Company of Arizona. As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of semi-trailers, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on semi-trailers, including inspections, lubrication, and replacement of parts.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with trailer systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
  • Work with compressed air, operate fork trucks, and utilize safety devices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in trailer maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of DOT/FHWA inspections, lighting and electrical systems, axle, brake, and suspension systems.
  • Ability to read and write English, and pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and have a clean driving record and background check.

Physical Demands:

  • Requires a minimum of eight hours standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body mechanics/movements.
  • Regularly required to lift and carry up to thirty-five (35) pounds. Frequently required to lift and carry up to fifty-five (55) pounds. Occasionally required to lift and carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in an environment requiring the use of ladder, stairs, heights, platforms, and climbing in and out of trailers or working under trailers in tight spaces.
