Main Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on truck and trailer equipment to ensure vehicles are safe and reliable for customers.

• Conduct preventive maintenance services with minimal supervision, adhering to Penske's maintenance processes and utilizing cutting-edge technology.

• Troubleshoot and repair major components, including engines, transmissions, and differentials, with a focus on efficiency and quality.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.

• Utilize Penske's tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.

• Participate in Penske's technician training program to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.

• Qualifications:

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.

• Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components, OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred).

• Experienced using all tools of the trade, including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools.

• Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to work well as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.

• Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions and maintain a safe working environment.

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems.
