Job Title: Community Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Coach to join our team at TKFC LC dba St Louis CITY SC. As a Community Coach, you will be responsible for providing a positive and engaging soccer experience for youth in the St. Louis region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement training sessions and events that promote physical and technical skills, emotional competencies, cognitive abilities, tactical principles, and social competencies.
  • Build relationships with area soccer clubs, schools, families, youth organizations, and the broader community to promote the mission and vision of St. Louis CITY SC.
  • Execute logistics and administrative tasks to facilitate training sessions and events.
  • Create a fun and caring environment that supports learning and encourages a love of soccer.
  • Attend outside events to network, build relationships, and engage the community.
  • Participate in coaching education sessions and invest time in further learning opportunities through coaching licenses and badges.
  • Ensure goals, strategy, and measurable short-term and long-term performance targets in the community are met.
  • Provide regular updates on work activities, outside meetings, players' performances, and events.
  • Contribute positively to a team culture and participate in team meetings and seasonal training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Alignment with the St. Louis CITY SC vision and coaching/playing philosophy.
  • Ability to travel to various communities across the St. Louis region.
  • Ability to identify, develop, and support soccer talent.
  • Basic knowledge of soccer tactics, sport science, and multidisciplinary development.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop coaching knowledge and skills.
  • High standard of work performance and ability to consistently deliver high-quality results.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Flexible and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needs.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively work with internal and external constituents.
  • Excellent facilitation skills, including the ability to manage and resolve tensions, disputes, and conflicts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Coaching experience in youth soccer.
  • Willingness/experience in supporting social and emotional development of youth.

This position requires talking, listening, standing, and physical activity for long periods of time. Must be able to work on a part-time basis and be flexible with work schedule.
