Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic professional to take on the role of Head of Energy Portfolio Strategy. This leadership position is pivotal in shaping the direction of our energy procurement and management initiatives.

Role Summary: The Head of Energy Portfolio Strategy will be responsible for overseeing the management of our energy supply portfolios, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals of sustainability and customer satisfaction. This role will involve collaborating closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and leading a team of experts in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and mentor a team focused on optimizing a substantial energy supply portfolio, ensuring adherence to environmental objectives and long-term organizational sustainability.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to assess risks and opportunities associated with complex energy transactions and portfolio management.
  • Oversee procurement strategies for short- to mid-term energy and capacity products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage the optimization and administration of energy supply contracts and positions, ensuring effective scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing, providing insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, market participants, and internal teams to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Present findings and strategies to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with significant experience in energy procurement or related areas.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a focus on team development and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on collaboration.
