Position Overview:
We are seeking a Materials Operations Supervisor to lead our warehouse team in efficiently managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials. This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive warehouse operational success by providing insights and recommendations to enhance strategic planning.
2. Achieve financial targets by forecasting needs, preparing budgets, and analyzing performance metrics.
3. Develop and refine warehouse systems for product handling, storage, and shipping processes.
4. Continuously implement and evaluate policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
5. Design warehouse layouts and product flow systems, recommending new equipment as necessary.
6. Analyze workflows and space requirements to implement system improvements.
7. Ensure the physical integrity of the warehouse through effective planning and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required in lieu of degree.
- Proven experience in manufacturing operations and inventory management.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing environments, including rate-based and job shop systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory control software, with strong data analysis and Excel skills.
