**Location:** Delicato Family Wines

Position Overview

Under the guidance of the security supervisor, the Safety Officer plays a crucial role in safeguarding individuals, organizations, and assets during incidents. Responsibilities encompass overseeing a designated area, removing unauthorized individuals, and documenting any events that occur during the shift. The primary objective of a Safety Officer is to ensure the protection of the company's property, staff, and guests.

Key Responsibilities

We are currently seeking candidates for two positions:

Both roles require availability on weekends.

Shifts are available from 12am-8:30am or 8am-4:30pm.

Core Duties
  • Conducting regular patrols and monitoring activities on the premises to deter criminal behavior and maintain a secure environment.
  • Removing trespassers and violators while adhering to legal protocols and detaining offenders until authorities arrive.
  • Managing the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with established procedures.
  • Logging truck entries and exits, directing them to appropriate docks, and verifying seals upon departure.
  • Performing thorough inspections on trucks.
  • Monitoring surveillance systems for any disturbances or illegal activities.
  • Providing comprehensive reports to management regarding daily operations and any incidents that may arise.
  • Utilizing communication devices, such as two-way radios, effectively and clearly.
  • Contacting emergency services in case of incidents, such as fires or unauthorized access.
  • Administering CPR or first aid when necessary.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a security role.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Licenses and Certifications

  • A valid security guard card is mandatory.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to remain composed and logical during emergencies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and effectively.
Work Environment
  • General office and winery conditions.
  • Frequent driving of automatic vehicles or equipment.
  • Exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions.
  • May require lifting and carrying cases of wine.
  • Occasional sensory evaluation of wine quality.
