Role Responsibilities
As a Speech Language Pathologist at our facility, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients. Your expertise will assist individuals in regaining their ability to communicate effectively, swallow safely, and improve cognitive functions.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Conducting modified barium swallow assessments to evaluate patients' swallowing capabilities.
- Performing cognitive evaluations to assess decision-making abilities and communication skills.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create tailored care plans based on assessment findings.
- Implementing therapeutic exercises and utilizing adaptive techniques to enhance speech and cognitive skills.
- Providing education to patients and their families regarding treatment processes and progress.
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to every individual you serve.
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Current licensure in the state of California (CCC-SLP).
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
