Job Title: School Nurse

At Current USA, we are seeking a skilled School Nurse to join our team. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Attend to the daily needs of students, including administering medications and maintaining accurate records.
  • Treat illnesses and injuries, and notify parents as necessary.
  • Administer medications and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including physicals and immunizations.
  • Administer Mantoux tests as needed and maintain records.
  • Provide staff training on OSHA, Universal Precautions, and safety protocols.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and complete incident reports.
  • Order supplies and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse, licensed in New York State.
  • Relevant experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to modify the environment to ensure the safety of children.
  • Ability to move and transport children weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to respond to fire alarms and follow oral and written directions.
