Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Tempositions, Inc. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including vital sign measurements, weight, and height recordings.
- Accurately document patient information, including medical history, medications, and allergies.
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment.
- Provide education and instruction to patients on medication, special diets, and other health-related topics.
- Assist with waived testing and quality control procedures, ensuring accurate results and compliance with agency procedures.
- Perform venipuncture to obtain blood specimens, adhering to OSHA standards for blood-borne pathogens.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic technique.
- Utilize Health Information Technology to perform essential job functions, including documentation, transmission, and retrieval of electronic protected health information.
- Monitor stock inventory and replenish supplies as needed, ensuring a smooth operation of the treatment center.
- Report equipment malfunctions, missing, or damaged equipment to the Regional Nurse Manager.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and a positive patient experience.
- High School diploma and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- BLS certification.
- Fluency in English, oral and written form, is required.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
