Position Overview:

The Vocational Recovery Case Coordinator plays a pivotal role in engaging program participants, managing cases, fostering employer relationships, and connecting individuals to essential community resources. This role is dedicated to supporting those in recovery from substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of strategies for participant outreach and recruitment.
  • Serve as the primary case manager for designated participants, offering guidance and referrals to necessary community services (such as educational programs, childcare, transportation, and financial counseling).
  • Facilitate training and interventions aimed at enhancing the career prospects of clients, including job readiness workshops, job search assistance, employment retention strategies, and overcoming barriers to employment.
  • Act as a bridge between clients, employers, and funding or referral organizations.
  • Provide ongoing support post-employment, helping participants to recognize and leverage their natural support networks.
  • Inform participants, community groups, and employers about the programs and services offered by Horizon Goodwill Industries.
  • Advocate for the needs and interests of assigned participants.
  • Maintain effective communication and positive relationships with participants, employers, staff, and referral agencies.
  • Keep accurate records of participant information, case notes, and other documentation, including attendance and progress reports.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly reports and program proposals to funding entities as required.
  • Complete monthly progress reports and process fee-for-service invoices as instructed.
  • Assist in program evaluation and community needs assessments to identify service gaps and opportunities.
  • Engage in the development and submission of proposals to secure additional program funding as directed.
  • Participate in agency meetings and committees as assigned.
