Job Title: Grants and Contracts Coordinator

Yakima Health District is seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to fill the role of Grants and Contracts Coordinator. This full-time position involves managing grants and contracts, collaborating with various partners, and providing administrative support to the management team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities, assisting in the preparation of grant proposals.
  • Oversee the grant and contract application processes, ensuring timely documentation and submission.
  • Collaborate with program management and the finance department to develop budgets and monitor expenditures.
  • Prepare progress and financial reports, along with other required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all grant and contract terms, including deliverables and timelines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in grants/contracts management, accounting, project coordinating, or financial experience.
  • Familiarity with A19 and grant invoicing.
  • Knowledge of leadership, program management, and oversee service deliverables.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and financial software.
  • Establish and maintain effective, courteous, and respectful interpersonal relationships with internal and external colleagues, partners, clients, and the public.
Working Conditions:
  • Office-based work with frequent computer use and reviewing detailed information.
  • Occasional travel to county or regional meetings within the state.
  • Must possess a valid Washington State driver's license or demonstrate the ability to travel during adverse weather conditions.
