Job Title: Experienced Toddler Lead Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Toddler Lead Teacher to join our team at Kiddie Academy of Steele Creek. As a Toddler Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment that fosters the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of our young learners.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that promote learning and exploration in a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Supervise and assist children during all activities, ensuring their physical, social, and emotional needs are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and effective educational program.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure open and transparent communication.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment, adhering to NAEYC guidelines.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including daily notes, accident reports, and attendance records.
  • Participate in staff meetings, Academy events, and parent meetings as requested.
  • Assist with meal times, cleanup, and other tasks as needed.
  • Ensure all classroom equipment is in good working condition and is used and maintained properly.
  • Direct the activities of other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient classroom operation.
  • Interact with parents and maintain open communication to encourage family engagement.
  • Maintain the Family Information Board and other classroom bulletin boards.
  • Schedule and conduct parent and teacher conferences throughout the year.
  • Ensure all licensing regulations are followed as required by the state.
  • Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds to at least waist high on a consistent basis throughout the workday.
  • Must receive the required amount of training hours each calendar year per state licensing requirements.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and be 18+ years of age.
  • 2+ years' experience working in a childcare center.
  • Must meet all state and local licensing requirements for position (NC Early Childhood Credentials - NCECC or its equivalent).
  • Candidate must pass all state medical requirements and have a clear background check to qualify for employment.
  • Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high.
