Job Title: Registered Nurse

Virtua is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the NICU and Pediatrics department. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care through outcome identification and evidence-based practice.
  • Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and their families.
  • Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimes.
  • Effectively manage rapidly changing situations and participate in clinical decision-making.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease processes, individual care needs, wellness, and safety issues.
  • Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team.
  • Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice.
  • Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team.
  • Identify and participate in performance improvement activities.
  • Maintain professional and departmental level competencies.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid NJ RN License.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards.
  • Perfect skills and stay abreast of current nursing practice through ongoing education, journals, etc.
  • Must have strong communication skills and be able to coordinate efforts of a team of care providers.
