Marvin Love and Associates is seeking an experienced Event Director to lead the planning and execution of various events at our luxury historic hotel in the South. As the Event Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall event experience, ensuring seamless execution, and exceeding client expectations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Plan and execute a wide range of events, including weddings, conferences, gala dinners, and social gatherings
* Collaborate closely with clients to understand their event requirements and bring their visions to life
* Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics to ensure successful outcomes
* Coordinate with various in-house departments to ensure smooth event operations
* Oversee the hiring and management of event staff
* Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve event offerings

**Requirements:**

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, preferably within a luxury hotel or hospitality setting
* Proven track record of successfully planning and executing high-profile events
* Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
* Proficiency in event management software is a plus
