We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Carle Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain patient care supplies and rooms patients in a timely manner.
- Perform EKGs and Point of Care testing as needed.
- Assist physicians and nurses in providing optimal care to patients and families.
- Collect and process specimens correctly.
- Clean and stock exam rooms.
- Participate in code team activities.
- Apply and charge for Durable Medical Equipment as appropriate.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Successful completion of medical terminology course within six months of start date.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
