Medical Support Professional

Job Summary:
As a Medical Support Professional at Carle Health, you will play a vital role in maintaining department patient care supplies, ensuring timely patient flow, and assisting physicians and nurses to provide optimal care to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of routine direct patient care duties to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
- Maintain patient care environment and supplies to ensure patient privacy and safety.
- Take vital signs during the rooming process.
- Conduct medication reconciliation.
- Provide chaperoning services for providers.
- Perform point-of-care testing and process lab specimens.
- Stock rooms with necessary supplies.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Successful completion of a medical terminology course within six months of start date.
