Homecare Support Specialist

About the Role
Chrysalis is seeking a dedicated Homecare Support Specialist to provide personalized support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Utah County area. This position plays a vital role in helping our clients become more independent, develop meaningful relationships, and engage in enjoyable community activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-on-one care and support at the client's home, as well as participating in fun activities and outings. Our Homecare Support Specialists gain valuable experience in the human services field and have opportunities for advancement within the organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting clients with daily living tasks such as meal preparation and budgeting
- Modeling positive behaviors and attitudes
- Supporting clients in their physical activity and exercise routine
- Accompanying clients to social events, such as movies, bowling, and zoo visits
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Pass a background check and drug test
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- No prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is required; training is provided
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time position starts at $15-$17.75 per hour, depending on experience. Chrysalis offers competitive benefits, including paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401k plan.
