Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our team at OrthoConnecticut. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities:- Examine patients, perform comprehensive physical examinations, and compile patient medical data.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and laboratory tests.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, including injections, suturing, and wound care.
- Record progress notes and assist in providing continuity of care.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in hospital rounds, emergency room duties, and surgery assistance.
- Respond to physician requests and attend to patients in the emergency room.
- Dictate patient discharge notes and sign off on consults within 48 hours of service.
- Successful graduation from an accredited PA college or university program.
- Current Connecticut state PA license in good standing.
- Ability to work a five-day schedule, including four days in the New Milford office and one day in the Sharon office.
- Availability to work on-call once a month.
