As a General Dermatology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, building strong relationships with our patients, and working collaboratively with our team of dermatologists.
Responsibilities- Provide outstanding dermatology care to patients with a wide range of skin care needs
- Build and retain relationships with patients by treating them with kindness, respect, and compassion
- Determine appropriate courses of treatment through listening to patient concerns and conducting physical examinations and biopsies
- Educate patients about their skin conditions, treatments, medications, and best practices for skin cancer prevention
- Develop expert knowledge of skin ailments, treatments, and products through shadowing providers, attending trainings, and seeking learning opportunities
- Frequently consult with physicians on appropriate treatments and protocols
- Refer patients to Mohs surgeons or other providers as needed
- Prescribe medications as necessary
- Record medical information and data in our practice's medical records system
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Fulfill other responsibilities as needed
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Strong listening skills and open to feedback and training
- Positive attitude, hard-working, and a team player
- Excellent customer service skills and bedside manner
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written)
- Well-organized, efficient, and able to operate in a busy work environment
- Passion for helping patients and providing great care
