Maintenance Representative

Role Purpose

As a Maintenance Representative at IHG Hotels & Resorts, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotels. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and replace items around the hotel, including equipment and furniture, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.
  • Organize and maintain supplies, ensuring that equipment is ready for use and that our hotels are well-stocked.
  • Adhere to high safety standards, reporting any incidents, hazardous conditions, or unsafe equipment to your supervisor.
  • Take responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of hotel areas, including the car park and pool.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement preventative maintenance procedures to ensure the efficient operation of our hotels.
  • Provide excellent customer service, being a friendly face and helpful resource for our guests.
  • Communicate effectively with your supervisor and duty manager, keeping them informed of any issues or concerns.
  • Present a professional image, wearing your uniform with pride and being approachable and welcoming to our guests.
Requirements
  • At least one year of experience in maintenance or repair work.
  • A high school diploma or related vocational training.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, building management programs, and reporting tools such as HotSos, Opera, Lutron, Bartech, or Inncom.
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics, and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification, if applicable.
  • Physical fitness, as the role requires standing for long periods and bending/kneeling.
  • Compliance with local laws and regulations, including food handling and serving alcohol.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues in a warm and welcoming manner.
