We are seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team at Essentia Health. As a key member of our pediatric care team, you will play a vital role in providing activity opportunities and therapeutic programs to child and adolescent patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and develop individualized plans for patients to meet their unique needs and goals.
- Implement and evaluate therapeutic programs, including activity-based interventions and emotion-based skills groups.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and consultation to patients, families, and healthcare staff on therapeutic recreation principles and practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 6 months of hire.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
