About the Role:
As a Recreational Therapist at Essentia Health, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic recreation activities to individuals of all ages, from infants to adults. Your expertise will be utilized to evaluate and assess the needs of our patients, develop personalized treatment plans, and educate our care teams on the importance of recreation in rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement therapeutic recreation programs to improve the quality of life for our patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and optimal outcomes.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify the needs of our patients and develop targeted interventions.
- Provide education and consultation to our care teams on the benefits of recreation in rehabilitation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in therapeutic recreation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 6 months of hire.
