Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team at Essentia Health. As a Recreational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic recreation services to child and adolescent patients, helping them to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans for therapeutic recreation services
  • Provide direct and indirect care to patients, including activity planning and implementation
  • Lead therapeutic emotion-based skills groups to help patients develop emotional regulation and coping skills
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Document patient progress and outcomes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 6 months of hire
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
