JOB SUMMARY:
In the role of Principal, you will take charge of the management and oversight of a school environment and its educational programs. Your responsibilities will include acting as the instructional leader, promoting a culture of respect, setting high standards for both staff and students, and ensuring the overall achievement of the school.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Design and uphold an effective educational framework in accordance with State and Federal regulations
- Act as the instructional leader and work collaboratively with directors on program-related issues
- Plan and supervise school events with a focus on specific requirements
- Assess staff performance and lead staff development initiatives
- Maintain precise records of financial dealings and school documentation
- Establish robust communication pathways with stakeholders
- Encourage diversity and inclusion through M/WBE Program initiatives
- Ensure adherence to M/WBE Program policies and objectives
- Engage in goal-setting activities and related responsibilities as necessary
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of school management practices, outstanding communication abilities, and strong leadership skills. The position entails light physical duties and the capacity to communicate effectively.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Qualified applicants should hold a Postgraduate Professional License with endorsements in administration and supervision for preK-12. A demonstrated understanding of educational principles, curriculum methodologies, and public school management is vital. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are also essential.
