Job Overview

As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient satisfaction while maintaining the smooth operation of the clinic. Your responsibilities will include assisting the physician throughout various medical procedures and ensuring a positive experience for all patients.

This position is part-time, offering flexible hours to accommodate clinic needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients and guide them to examination areas; assist with form completion as needed.
  • Familiarize yourself with clinic technology and adhere to company protocols.
  • Manage incoming calls across multiple lines and languages.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and address patient needs, including transportation arrangements.
  • Engage with insurance providers to confirm patient eligibility.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as copying, filing, and faxing.
  • Ensure procedure rooms are organized and prepared for use at all times.
  • Support physicians during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures, following specific instructions.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and ensure proper cleanup afterward.
  • Provide patients with post-procedure instructions and medication acquisition guidance.
  • Prepare IV solutions as required.
  • Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and adhere to OSHA regulations.
  • Assist in training new staff and support ultrasound personnel as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant required
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CCMA/CMA/RMA) preferred
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish preferred
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
