Job Summary

Alamo Group is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to oversee the powder painting process in our manufacturing facility. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality products are produced while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of employees engaged in powder painting products according to specifications.
  • Maintain time records and analyze departmental performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Train employees on proper paint methods and work procedures for production and safety.
  • Ensure paint quality is maintained on all painted parts and initiate or recommend personnel actions as needed.
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations, and conduct regular safety tours and meetings.
  • Plan, train, and assist in set-ups for production, and maintain and check washer cleaning solutions and paint supplies.
  • Determine the paint, personal protective equipment, cleaning supplies, and repair parts needed, and coordinate procurement.
  • Perform direct and indirect labor to meet production needs, and may be required to travel.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED certificate required; college degree or technical school preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a paint environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of powder and liquid paint processes, production processes, maintenance, and equipment operation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to problem-solve, persuade, and motivate.
  • Good coordination skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize various activities.
  • Knowledge and ability to use test kits for chemical analysis, and must be able to paint, handle parts, and operate a lift truck.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations required.
