Job Overview

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Transportation Engineering group in Lone Tree, CO.

This role will involve executing complex Water Resource designs for projects across North America, including design-build, public-private partnerships (P3), and construction manager/general contractor (CM/GC).

As a technical expert, you will provide mentorship to junior and mid-level staff in advanced hydrologic and hydraulic design topics, while also supporting design pursuits and executing projects through final construction in Texas and other states.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop drainage plans, profiles, specifications, and estimates for transportation and water resources projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight on non-traditional water resources projects.
  • Mentor/lead other more junior engineers/designers.
  • Establish and track project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Support project communications and technical meetings, provide coordination to resolve design issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 12+ years of design experience in drainage, water resources, hydraulics, or hydrology in either transportation or land development projects.
  • Must have experience with US transportation projects.
  • Design-Build project experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and data integrity/file management/version control experience.
  • Must have experience mentoring others.
