Pricing Specialist Job Description

The Strategic Accounts Pricing Specialist will support the commercial account managers by assisting in the implementation and monitoring of company-wide pricing guidelines. This role is responsible for providing pricing support and profitability reporting for SA customers, auditing system pricing, tagging, and partnerships, and working with various teams to ensure customer data is aligned with contractual pricing structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pricing support and profitability reporting for SA customers
  • Audit system pricing, tagging, and partnerships and work with various teams to ensure customer data is aligned with contractual pricing structure
  • Compile mass price review documents & supplemental reporting to execute contractual price increases for assigned portfolio of customers, working cross-functionally to ensure proper and timely implementation
  • Review & submit national price maintenance requests for assigned customers, provide guidance and context on pricing strategy and suggest available options that will best meet requestor's needs and those of Airgas
  • Initiate and document customer notifications for price adjustments & force majeure events
  • Maintain documentation of and development of processes
  • Promote adoption of best practices in price management that are in alignment with SA profitability goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of up to one year inside sales, customer service or relevant Airgas/industry experience required
  • Relevant Microsoft Office or Google Suite experience required, with an emphasis on advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets preferred
  • Previous exposure to commercial contract terms and conditions preferred
  • Prior experience manipulating large datasets and analyzing data from multiple sources preferred
