Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Kearfott Corporation. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Determine manufacturing capacity across product lines, propose solutions to eliminate inefficiencies and bottlenecks, and implement these solutions.
  • Documentation and Training: Create and update work instructions and operation sheets that describe the manufacture of components and sub-systems, and train technicians and engineers to carry out documented manufacturing procedures.
  • Performance Metrics: Help define key performance indicators in the manufacturing space and report on the progress towards meeting these indicators.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis of production failures and apply technical expertise to support existing product lines of optical gyroscope-based inertial measurement units (IMUs).
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with vendors to obtain subassemblies and components for use in existing and new products, and prepare and present reports on the above to management.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited educational institution.
  • Experience: 2+ years' experience as an industrial, manufacturing, and/or process engineer, or a master's degree in these fields or a related discipline.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • Certifications: Minimum Six Sigma Green Belt required.
