Key Responsibilities

As a Scientist Intern, you'll assist with:

  • Vibracore processing (splitting, photographing, logging, sampling)
  • Sieve and carbonate analysis
  • Carbonate content analysis
  • GIS analysis and map production
  • Production of geotechnical deliverables (technical reports and appendices)
  • Formatting of geoscientific datasets in a GIS environment

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Geology or related field of study
  • Geology experience (0-5 years) required
  • Some experience with mechanical sieve analysis
  • Some experience processing sediment cores
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ArcGIS software preferred
  • Able to work collaboratively in a diverse team setting
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to complete multiple tasks on an ongoing basis by given deadlines
  • Self-motivated, hard-worker capable of working independently and with our multidisciplinary team of professionals and staff
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Clean driving record
