Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor of Social Work to join our faculty at Florida Atlantic University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in the areas of Gerontology, Healthy Aging, or Health Promotion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Gerontology, Healthy Aging, or Health Promotion
  • Conduct research in the areas of Gerontology, Healthy Aging, or Health Promotion
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program with external funding
  • Engage in service to the university and the profession
Requirements
  • PhD in Social Work or a closely related field
  • MSW from an accredited school of social work and a minimum of two years post-MSW practice experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse population demographics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research in the areas of Gerontology, Healthy Aging, or Health Promotion
