Qualifications:
To be eligible for the GS-15 level, candidates must possess a minimum of one year of full-time specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level. This experience should include:
  • Formulating recommendations, policies, and procedures pertinent to extramural activities within environmental programs or projects.
  • Providing guidance on extramural activities such as acquisitions, contracts, grants, interagency agreements, and assistance agreements while addressing related challenges.
  • Establishing or overseeing performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and progress of teams, programs, or organizations.

Your responses to the online assessment will be utilized to assess your competencies in the following areas:
  • Proficiency in developing and presenting briefings to senior management.
  • Ability to analyze grant and contract-related data to offer informed recommendations.
  • Expertise in interpreting and applying contracts and grants regulatory guidelines and Agency protocols.
  • Strong oral communication skills.
  • Capability to manage program resources effectively.
  • Experience in performing supervisory responsibilities.
  • Skill in fostering collaboration across various workgroups to build relationships and achieve objectives.

Experience Consideration:
Experience may include both paid and unpaid work, encompassing volunteer roles through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, community, student, social). Volunteer experience is recognized and contributes to the development of critical competencies, knowledge, and skills relevant to paid employment.
