Compensation:
Compensation is designed to reflect performance and value, with attorneys effectively managing their caseloads earning $170,000+. Partners overseeing a team can expect earnings of $300,000+.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients by evaluating available options to achieve successful outcomes and formulate action plans.
  • Prepare necessary legal documents for clients, including briefs, motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Represent clients in court and advocate on their behalf during legal proceedings.
  • Assess client needs, identify solutions, and develop case strategies.
  • Supervise administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks.
  • Manage a docket and proactively handle pre-litigation and litigation files.
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, trial preparations, trials, and hearings.
  • Handle motions and discovery processes.
  • Formulate case strategies.
  • Negotiate with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel.
  • Draft motions and petitions.
  • Report on case progress and quarterly key performance indicators.
  • All attorneys are responsible for legal operations in alignment with the firm's mission and values.

Qualifications:

  • Must be an active member of the local bar association.
  • Strong decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a law firm setting is required.
  • Able to work independently while managing multiple cases.
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is required; experience representing clients for at least 2 years is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Litigation and trial experience is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and task prioritization skills.
  • Strong analytical and legal writing capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
  • Effective and thorough communication skills.
  • Outstanding writing proficiency.
  • Proactively seeks and incorporates feedback and collaborates well with a team.
  • Good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • Personal commitment to maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
