About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Branch Manager to lead our team in the Consumer, Small and Business Banking division.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our customers and the company.

As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and developing a diverse team of direct and indirect reports, creating a culture that fosters engagement and generates commitment and accountability to business outcomes.

You will be responsible for executing policies and procedures in alignment with applicable regulations, as well as audit and escalation procedures, and managing the allocation of people and financial resources for the branch.

This involves coaching bankers to engage customers to understand their needs and work proactively to build relationships and help customers succeed financially, resolving low to moderately complex issues regarding the customer and employee experience, risk, and growth of the team and the business, and identifying opportunities for making banking easier for customers through education and demonstration of available digital options to support adoption and customer convenience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology and share the value of digital banking
  • Coach, develop, and build a high-performing team to execute on business strategies, achieve results, and drive growth of the business
  • Identify opportunities for making banking easier for customers through education and demonstration of available digital options to support adoption and customer convenience
  • Resolve low to moderately complex issues regarding the customer and employee experience, risk, and growth of the team and the business
  • Manage the allocation of people and financial resources for the branch

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of banking, financial services, or branch network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience

  • Management experience including hiring, coaching, and developing direct reports
  • Ability to build and inspire a team where adaptability, collaboration, and accountability to performance are critical to success
  • Ability to analyze performance, understand strengths and opportunities, and execute a plan that empowers employees to achieve business objectives
  • Exercise independent judgment and critical thinking skills to manage time, prioritize, and delegate tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Experience and knowledge in coaching across customer segments, including affluent, high net worth, and small business
  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers, internal partners, and within the community
  • Extensive experience in asking questions and identifying complex financial needs in order to provide relevant options to customers
  • Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and employees

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays
  • Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months, depending on location
