Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing and developing reports based on end-user requirements and specifications.
  • Create, modify, and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and database queries.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and perform testing to ensure the quality and reliability of enterprise reporting solutions.
  • Address and resolve issues identified during testing.
  • Analyze current business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in the development of strategies to meet performance goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve/promote team congeniality and disseminate information.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation outlining functional specifications, test cases, system requirements, user stories and use cases to effectively capture and communicate the proposed solutions and deliverables.
  • Established end-user accounts and perform other software administrative tasks.
  • Provides exceptional customer support to end-users.
  • Mentors intermediate level programmers with their queries on data; actively contribute to creating best practices and coding standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Familiarity with Ellucian Banner Enterprise Resource System.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience (minimum 5-years) in coding Oracle and one or more relational database management systems such as MySQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle for efficient data retrieval in a complex scheme.
  • Able to independently design, create, optimize, troubleshoot, and manipulate databases using Oracle SQL and ANSI SQL.
  • Advanced experience with core database concepts and analysis.
  • Experience with Argos or other reporting application tools, creating DataBlocks, Dashboards and Reports, Interactive Charts and APIs.
  • Problem-solving skills; Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and plan for prioritizing workload within tight deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience using Excel.
  • Experience in facilitating workshops, meetings, and interviews to gather requirements and drive consensus.
