Job Title: Data Engineering Lead

About the Role:
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Data Engineering Lead to join our team. As a Data Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for leading data engineering activities on mission-driven projects. You will oversee the development and deployment of pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead data engineering activities on mission-driven projects
Oversee the development and deployment of pipelines and platforms
Guide and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers
Use expertise in analytical exploration and data examination to oversee the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms

Requirements:
7+ years of experience with application or software development
7+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex data applications
5+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing data
Experience developing scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats and supporting project teams to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms
Experience supervising others and leading projects and deliverables within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with database administration or data analytics
Experience with Python, R, or Scala
Experience with data visualization or dashboard tools, including Tableau and RShiny, and presenting data through reports
Experience with data lakes and unstructured data
Experience with a public cloud, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
Experience with distributed data and computing tools, including Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka
Experience with Agile engineering practices
Master's degree in Mathematics, CS, Statistics, or Operations Research

Compensation:
The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
