Position Overview: The Legacy Giving Coordinator is an integral part of WWP's fundraising team. This role involves managing a portfolio of planned giving donors and prospects, focusing on identifying, cultivating, and soliciting individuals interested in making planned gifts through personal engagement and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the growth and retention of a diverse portfolio of planned giving and prospective donors.
  • Effectively communicate WWP's mission, history, and programs to potential funding sources.
  • Maintain a balanced portfolio for effective management, utilizing CRM tools to track communications and prioritize donor engagement.
  • Represent WWP at community events and engage with donors through travel and personal meetings.
  • Collaborate with various teams within WWP to identify and attract new donors.
  • Provide revenue projections and forecasts for the portfolio.
  • Develop tailored cultivation strategies for potential donors.
  • Facilitate timely movement of potential donors towards solicitation and closure.
  • Create personalized donor communications, including proposals and stewardship reports.
  • Utilize research and existing networks to identify prospective donors.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills to monitor and interpret data for informed decision-making.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Experience working with older donors and financial professionals.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to team members and leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage workloads effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High level of discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Understanding of WWP's mission and the impact of its programs on veterans and their families.
  • Familiarity with military service organizations is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with a high energy level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Commitment to ethical standards in personal and professional conduct.
  • Aligned with WWP's core values and mission.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years in fundraising or sales.
  • At least three years of experience in cultivating and soliciting planned giving or major donors.
  • Two years of experience with CRM software.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Work Environment:

  • Office setting with potential travel for donor meetings and events.
  • Ability to lift items up to 10 pounds may be required.
